Programme
Our exact itinerary will be finalised on site, adapting to the weather conditions. We will stay at three locations: Cape Town, Sedgefield on the Garden Route and Porterville in the hinterland. Sedgefield is usually our first stop, where we enjoy beautiful soaring flights over the Indian Ocean. It is not unusual to see dolphins, turtles and sometimes even whales. Around Sedgefield, several flying areas invite you, each worth visiting and having its own character.
From Cape Town, depending on the weather, we plan to explore the unique flying areas around the city with views of the ocean and the city skyline. In good conditions it is possible to fly over Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles. Other good thermal flying is to be found in the wine region around Stellenbosch. The mountainous hinterland is also an absolute highlight in culinary terms. The third location, Porterville, is well known for its predictable and strong cross-country flying conditions. Cross-country flights of up to 50 km are possible in this area, even for beginners.
