Programme
The journey begins and ends in Thessaloniki. Two hotel locations are planned: One in the Pindos Mountains / Zagoria region in the village of Elati, just below the main take-off point of Mitsikeli; the second on the island of Lefkada in Agios Nikita in the immediate vicinity of the Kathisma launch site.
In the Pindos mountains near Elati we find very good thermals and many cross country routes. This is where the Greek League competitions are flown. The most famous take-off places are Mitsikeli, Perivleptos and Konitsa
We fly back to Thessaloniki, then drive directly to Elati to spend the first nights there. We spend the last nights on the island of Lefkada before we returning to Thessaloniki for the flight home.
The trip is suitable for licensed pilots and partners are welcome. The trip is not intended for ambitious cross-country flying, but shorter cross-country flights, long thermal flights and enjoyable soaring are a matter of course. Let's go!
