Summary of the Thermikcamp

Paragliding im Piemont

Unstable air, a low altitude, Italian hospitality and lots of airtime. That was our thermal camp in Piedmont!

Despite a miserable forecast and little hope of good flying days, we set off for this year's thermal camp. Fortunately, as it soon turned out! Piedmont, one of the most weatherproof areas in the Alps, played tricks on the meteorologists and welcomed us with unstable air, an unpredictable high altitude low and the odd thunderstorm. The unstable atmosphere made great thermal flights possible, the low altitude provided material for theory lessons and the thunderstorms gave us time for the same.

All in all, we had a great flight on seven out of seven days. We fortified ourselves with Italian delicacies and returned to Switzerland happy and with plenty of airtime in our luggage!

A big thank you to everyone that joined this fantastic week and we are already looking forward to the next trips!

Liebe Grüsse,
